Privacy Policy

Effective 21 April 2026. How we handle your information.

Coolbest Aircon Servicing ("Coolbest Aircon", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through https://coolbestaircon.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly:

  • Name, phone number, and email when you submit an enquiry form
  • Postal code (optional) to confirm coverage
  • Message content describing your aircon issue
  • WhatsApp contact details and conversation content when you message us

We also collect limited technical data automatically:

  • Anonymous usage analytics (pages visited, approximate location based on IP)
  • Referrer data (which site you came from, if any)
  • Browser and device type for compatibility and optimisation

2. How we use your information

We use your data to:

  • Respond to your service enquiry and schedule appointments
  • Quote services and follow up on in-progress work
  • Send service reminders and warranty-related updates
  • Improve our website and service delivery

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing.

3. How long we keep your data

Enquiry data: up to 24 months from last contact. Customer job records: up to 7 years for warranty, tax, and regulatory purposes. You can request earlier deletion where not required by law.

4. Service providers

We use these third-party services in the course of business:

  • Formsubmit.co — processes form submissions and forwards them to our email
  • Google Analytics (if enabled) — anonymous traffic analysis
  • WhatsApp Business — messaging platform per Meta's policies
  • Our hosting provider — website infrastructure

Each has their own privacy policies. We do not share more than necessary with any of them.

5. Your rights (PDPA Singapore)

Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012, you have the right to:

  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Withdraw consent for us to hold your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission (pdpc.gov.sg)

We use minimal cookies: a session cookie for site functionality, and (if analytics is enabled) Google Analytics cookies. No third-party advertising cookies.

7. Data security

We protect your data with HTTPS encryption in transit, access-controlled email, and restricted physical access to customer records. No system is 100% secure; we comply with PDPA obligations but cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Our services are for Singapore homeowners and tenants. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "effective date" at the top will reflect the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on our homepage for 30 days.
