The most common trap in aircon repair is paying for the wrong fix. A leaking unit gets refilled with refrigerant and leaks again in 3 months. A noisy compressor gets a new capacitor when the real problem is a worn-out fan bearing. A non-cooling unit gets a recharge when the compressor is actually failing.

Our technicians arrive with a manifold gauge set, a multimeter, a clamp meter, a leak detector, and the brand-specific diagnostic tools for major inverter systems. We find the fault, explain it in plain Singlish (or English, your call), and give you a written quote before any repair work starts. You can walk away at the diagnosis stage — the diagnostic fee is credited towards the repair if you proceed.

Cooling faults

Your unit blows air but it’s not cold — or it’s cold for 10 minutes then goes lukewarm. Usual suspects: low refrigerant from a slow leak, failing capacitor, iced-up evaporator, dirty condenser, or (in older units) a compressor on its last legs. We diagnose, then advise.

Water leaks

Water dripping from the front of the indoor unit, or pooling on the floor below it. Most often a drainage line blocked with mould slime, which is why we often recommend a chemical wash as part of the fix rather than a simple repair. Sometimes it’s a cracked drainage tray, a mis-installed pipe slope, condensation on under-insulated refrigerant piping, or a loose flare nut connection allowing refrigerant to escape and cause icing.

Noise & vibration

Rattling, buzzing, grinding, or a sudden loud hum. Causes range from cheap fan-coil cover panel rattle (free fix) to a failing compressor (major repair or replace). Outdoor-unit buzzing often points to a worn capacitor. Grinding usually means a fan bearing on its way out.

Smells

Sour or musty smell usually means mould in the fan coil — chemical wash territory. Burnt-electrical smell means something electrical has overheated and you should switch the unit off and call us immediately.

Error codes & blinking lights

Modern inverter units throw error codes that point to specific faults — thermistor, PCB, compressor current, outdoor-fan failure. We read the code and decode the fault. No guesswork.

Pricing & warranty

Repairs start from S$80 for simple diagnostics and component swaps. Most domestic faults resolve between S$80 and S$300 all-in. Major repairs (PCB replacement on premium inverter units, compressor replacement) can run higher. Those are exactly the cases where we’ll walk you through the repair-vs-replace maths before you commit.

Every repair carries a 90-day workmanship warranty. If the same fault returns within 90 days, we come back and re-diagnose at no charge.
